At 17:50 on March 29, China successfully launched the Long March 6 carrier rocket at Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. The launched Pujiang 2 and Tiankun 2 satellites successfully entered the predetermined orbit, and the launch mission was a complete success.

The significance of this launch is that it is the first flight of China's first solid bound carrier rocket, the Long March 6, which marks the addition of new members to China's new generation carrier rocket family and further improves the type spectrum of China's new generation carrier rocket. At the same time, it is also the first intelligent launch site in China - the launch station 9A of Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, which performs the space launch mission for the first time. As China's first "hybrid" long march series launch vehicle, the modified Long March 6 launch vehicle can give full play to the comprehensive advantages of high performance of liquid engine, long working time, large thrust of solid engine, reliable operation and simple use and maintenance, and greatly improve China's ability to enter, utilize and explore space.

Among the satellites put into orbit by the Long March 6 carrier rocket, Pujiang 2 satellite is mainly used to carry out scientific experimental research, general survey of land and resources and other tasks, and Tiankun 2 satellite is mainly used to carry out experimental verification of space environment detection technology.
