The fire broke out in the kitchen of a semi-detached property in Britford Close, Kings Heath around 10:30pm on Saturday night (13/12/2014).
Firefighters discovered the body of a woman in the building and she was treated by paramedics at the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said that nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
West Midlands Fire Service said investigators were trying to establish how it started. |
