The Frankfurt laboratory of Exova Warringtonfire, the specialist fire and security testing and certification provider, has recently extended its services in response to new regulations in the construction sector. This latest development means that Exova Warringtonfire Frankfurt can now provide testing to EN 16733 standard which will be part of the EN13501 norm in the near future.
This additional test determines a building product’s propensity to undergo continuous smouldering and is of particular interest to insulation manufacturers as well as the construction sector in general. Exova Warringtonfire Frankfurt is one of the few specialist fire testing laboratories in Germany which offer this test.
Holger Bräuer, general manager at Exova Warringtonfire Frankfurt commented: “Construction sector businesses need to be prepared for the introduction of this new norm. I am confident this will be a valuable addition to our testing portfolio and will support customers across Europe especially for those selling products into the German market”.
Exova Warringtonfire Frankfurt is currently undergoing a programme of extending and broadening its test service offerings alongside an overall expansion of Exova business and services worldwide.
Exova Warringtonfire tests reaction to fire, as well as fire resistance for a wide range of materials and applications in the construction and transport sectors.
