Early on the morning of November 12, 2025, firefighters were called to a major blaze at a mixed-use warehouse on Fleetwood Drive in DeKalb County, just east of Atlanta.Thick black smoke and flames erupted from the metal building shortly after 4 a.m., prompting multiple ladder trucks and hose lines.

The facility housed artist studios and storage units, and crews reported challenges including remote hydrants and a railroad adjacent to the fire scene which had to suspend train traffic.Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the blaze intensified.

Investigators have begun examining the origin of the fire while local artists assess damage to their workspace.Officials stressed that ensuring full extinguishment of hot spots will take several more hours.
