Changqing Oilfield, China's largest natural gas production base, has produced 17.706 billion cubic meters of natural gas in this heating season, with an average daily gas production of 148 million cubic meters and a maximum daily gas production of 159 million cubic meters. The daily gas production at the peak of winter supply has maintained an increase of 10 million cubic meters for four consecutive years. The total gas production, average daily gas production and maximum daily gas production all reached a record high.

Since last winter and this spring, affected by the adjustment of energy structure and the sharp rise of international natural gas prices, the domestic natural gas supply has shown a situation of "not light in the off-season, more prosperous in the peak season and less supply than demand". In this regard, Changqing Oilfield regards natural gas supply guarantee as a comprehensive test of oilfield combat effectiveness, emergency response ability and scientific planning ability, and takes the challenge with the highest specification to deploy and promote the long-term battle of natural gas supply guarantee. The largest gas field capacity construction in history was organized. In 2021, 2355 new wells were put into operation, and 100 million cubic meters of horizontal wells were tested for the first time. Among them, more than 2000 new wells were put into operation in the fourth quarter, rapidly raising the daily natural gas production from 110 million cubic meters to a high point of more than 150 million cubic meters, which is equivalent to ensuring the daily cooking gas demand of 300 million families of three.
