| 2427 W PAWNEE BLDG FIRE - FAMLY DOLLAR |

| Engine 12 arrived to smoke and fire showing from the northeast corner of the Dollar General at 2427 W Pawnee. Battalion 2 called for a second alarm assignment while still en route. Calling parties stated that there were propane bottles involved in the fire which prompted a HazMat response as well. Engine 12 stretched a 2 1/2" for the initial attack, making a quick knock down on the exterior fire. Crews quickly found that the fire had also extended into the sophet and attic space, so several companies continued to chase hot spots for some time. The fire was officailly under control at aproximately 2:30 pm. |
